I wrote off my experience due to the boatride (even though the car was inside a container from port to port), but like you, mine were otherwise only 18months old and never saw wet roads. Your adjustment threads/collar looks much worse than mine, I will have to take another look in the morning and see if mine are any worse. I'll also take a look at my SPL rear arms, but I must point out that I also am seeing surface rust on my rear subframe from the same timeframe, so this leads me to believe that washing/cleaning these parts and not powdercoating or using some sort of specific rust inhibitor has a lot if not everything to do with it.
